So the last lesson was about whether or not,
Shylock has the right to cut off the pound of flesh from Antonio's body.
So lesson on Friday: Reflection about
prejudice:
( Irrational suspicion or hatred of a particular group, race, or religion.)
Question:You are the judge, A man brought before you for killing another man.
But he did because the victim was about to harm his wife.
What punishment would you give him?(Question prepared for next lesson)
Answer:(Comes out at the next lesson.)

Main question:Was Shylock treated unfairly at the end of the scene?Why?
(lesson for this lesson)
1.He'd lost all his money ,half for the state, half for Antonio.
2.He'll have to convert from Jewish to Christianity.
3. When he dies, His will would go to his son in law.
Yes.The payment for not able to continuing his bond was too high of a price to pay,
and in exchange for nothing,not even "a pound of Antonio's flesh"and that he'll have to give up his religion which he believes in.(My answer) [He have the right to believe in whatever religion he is in,no one could force him out of his beliefs.] (add on by Mr Chua)
Mawani's answer: No,Because Antonio insulted Shylock's religion.
(But I heard that she said, Shylock insulted Antonio's religion.)
So example; If person A insulted person B, and now person B wanted to kill person A.
Is it right?
1.Yes because he was insulted?
2.Yes because he was insulted of his religion,and what he does for a living?
3.(my answer)No,because he was just angry.
(Anyways, now the law stated that a person may go to jail for insulting a religion.)
But he does have a great amount of anger building up inside him,
and thoughts about killing or revenge of being insulted is just "scary".
(cant think of the right word -.-)
But still,I think person A is in the wrong for insulting.
Linked to the pastor who insulted the buddist and taoist religion.
"Best part" he was captured and now on youtube.
But both the religion forgave him as they are merciful religions.
As long as the person is sincere.
Mr Chua said that if an enemie insulted you(me),but apologizes after.We should forgive him.
Own thoughts: If I am deeply insulted by a person, who then apologizes to me,I would do the same and then forgive them. Then we're equal.
But in Antonio's case, he was not at all sorry for insulting Shylock's religion which actually means that Shylock had actually a higher chance of getting his pound of flesh if it said:
" ...removing a pound of flesh which would result in lost of blood and all the stuff in it.."
Okay...that was sick .

Then Mr Chua wanted us to think about the following people:
Maids: I don't have. (not sure)
Construction workers: Build houses, constructed better things for our own benefits
, Poorly paid though
(it says on the newspaper last time that some of their agents doesn't even pay them for a few months.)
And they have to work for hours in the ever changing weather.
Chinese nations: I feel that when they came to Singapore, whether if their working mothers or trying to earn a living to sent the money made in Singapore back to their homes, I feel that they
are also sometimes mistreated. So what if they speak in their own ways? So what if they are not in well paid jobs when they came to Singapore?All people should be treated the same.
